Total War Rome 2 Radious Mod
- edited September 2013The www.twcenter.net is on par with this forum but the downside is the pages take quite some time to load. However they do have a great mod forum and there are a lot more mods apart from the Radious mods!. i have another mod that zooms out of the campaign map which is pretty neat!!
- edited September 2013This mod pack is amazing, makes a world of difference. Just started again as arverni and the second battle I did against the province capital 1140 my forces vs 1500 enemy and the battle was immense.. took me 19 minutes to finally win it. lost my general in the process
- edited September 2013Yep!. Have to say Radious knows what he's doing. Thank god someone does!!!
- edited September 2013It's great people are beginning to mod the game, but I think this mod is a bit overkill.
I don't want to literally stand there watching for 10 minutes as my forces fight. I think the speed of battle in Shogun 2 was perfect, and this mod seems to make it far too long. - edited September 2013
Too long.. that's puzzling because now using this mod I finally have time to manage my armies properly. It's great people are beginning to mod the game, but I think this mod is a bit overkill.

Perhaps you could request a more subtle change over at the thread fir the mod? If radious isn't willing, I'll see what I can do, though I'm away from my computer for the weekend..He that fights and runs away, May turn and fight another Day; But he that is in Battle slain, Will never rise to fight again. - edited September 2013Well that's fine but some of us like to just chill and have a bit of time with our battles!

Remember there are fast forward functions you can use. Speed up movement times and only play normal during actual fighting. - edited September 2013They're.. they.. they're actually fighting!
I have most of Radious mods in Shogun 2 and it pretty much makes the game all that better.
Wow, thanks for posting this.
It was hilarious watching Praetorians get murked by swarms of plebs during siege battles since the units would pretty much break whenever something touches their flanks or rear. - edited September 2013Too long.. that's puzzling because now using this mod I finally have time to manage my armies properly.
Yeah, that's what I noticed. You can actually use..wait for it..tactics with this mod! It's awesome. With this mod Rome 2 went from a 6/10 to a 8.5/10 for me. It will only go up with more mods and fixes! - edited September 2013Modders are the saviours of TW games. Empire, which was one worst TW games on release has become my favourite after Darthmod. R2 has tremendous potential despite all the rubbish it is getting now. In a year or so, after the modders give it a total makeover (and lots of patching) it will be great.
- edited September 2013I just tested the mod with custom battles and indeed it's a big step forwards. The only problem with it though is that hammer and anvil strikes are not realy effective due to increased morale, but it's WAY better then vanilla.
It isn't perfect but with some more tweaking this might be very interesting. I actually got the feeling I'm playing a Total War game with this. - edited September 2013Where do u find this mod?....sounds really helpful for me...

- edited September 2013CA should also be tweaking, but no they're still building. Your game should be largely finished BEFORE RELEASE.
Just curious, are you the same anubis thats also exploiting the top of the leaderboards?Flag0·Like - edited September 2013This is a great mod.
But i keep getting lock ups at different points.
3 Different battles.2 locked up. 1 at the start as Pilum were thrown, 1 near end of battle
last one went smoothly.
only on Ultra settings so not pushing it overly hard.
I7 3770K, GTX 690, 16gb Ram - edited September 2013I have a suggestion, as modders work generally harder at balancing the game and adding content, let's donate them 5 dollars instead of buying any of the dlc's CA will release in future, unless they have new campaigns.

And yes, OP. Esp. the battlemods with lower killrate did it for me. The ranks are still a *********** and the way to win is blob the enemy but holy **** atleast they don't rout after 30seconds with 90% casualtiesR2D2 gets upgraded with the Rome II AI

Disclaimer: the post above is way way pre-alpha, the final version will be way way better than this. - edited September 2013i would do that, using the radious all in one mod makes the game so much better

Some footage I recorded using the morale mod and the unit speed mod. They were separate mods before but I believe they're just one mod now right?
I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!
honestly that mod makes it pretty boring. you want to wait around for 7 minutes for a unit to route? I would fall asleep.Flag0·Like - edited September 2013Very good work, but otherwise a real shame for CA! I have to ask what they are doing all the time, if a mod can fix such issues in 24h hours..My Top wishes for Rome 2:
- Unit DLC: Pontus (needs Galatians) / Steppe tribes / Baktria (needs Indians) / Odrysian Kingdom / Armenia
- Faction DLC: Cherusci, Helvetii,
- Diplomacy/Clients: 'annexing'-, 'bribing-', 'making peace with'- and 'exchanging regions'-option
- Depth/Features: family tree, deeper internal politics, ingame videos, historical events, late-game-tasks
- UI: Bad! Fix skill and tech trees and make more atmosphere!
- Fix sieges & blobbing and nerf agents! - edited September 2013Yeah radious all the way. I just hope someone can fix the campaign AI, the range of units, the scrums and the movement of fleets, which is so tiny for an entire year. You could sail the entire coast of the game board in well under a year.

If tough, tactical, and gritty battles aren't for you.. may I suggest a change in your user name..
As well, if you can't stay awake for 7 minutes.. I think you should consult a medical professional, you may have a fairly sever form of narcolepsy. - Senior MemberPosts: 1,117Registered Usershttp://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?618817-Radious-Total-War-Mod

Clearly you are exactly who CA changed Rome2 to cater for.
Enjoy it, I wish you well, but you'll pardon me for saying I wish it wasn't a game I like a lot that was changed for you. - edited September 2013
I am also waiting for the answer.. anyone please? Can you use these mods and still play multiplayer? - Senior MemberPosts: 1,117Registered Users
That's why you use actual strategy and the units weaknesses to make them route/ slaughter them.honestly that mod makes it pretty boring. you want to wait around for 7 minutes for a unit to route? I would fall asleep.'Carthago delenda est'

Call of Total War.. Why can't the gamers who want quick battle games stick to other series.. MOST games out there are catered for them anyway. - edited September 2013I am also waiting for the answer.. anyone please?
The other player will have to have the same mods as you for it to work.It is a lovely thing to live with great courage and to die leaving an everlasting fame,
