Skyrim Become A Daedric Prince Mod

30.08.2019

Bethesda fans looking to get a fresh experience in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim have a new option thanks to ‘Wintersun – Faiths of Skyrim,’ an impressive new mod released earlier this month. While news for Elder Scrolls 6 could still be a long time coming, the mod community is keeping Skyrim very much alive, even years after its release. Wintersun brings an entire set of religious mechanics to the game, making the Aedra and Daedra more involved than ever.

The ‘Wintersun – Faiths of Skyrim‘ mod was released on NexusMods earlier this month by modder EnaiSiaion. A version is available for both the Skyrim Special Edition and the standard version of the game. “Wintersun adds religion and worship,” explains EnaiSiaion; “Meditating, praying and adhering to the tenets of your deity strengthens your bond with the deity and eventually grants divine powers. In addition to the divines and daedric princes, the mod adds many other deities from Elder Scrolls lore with their own shrines.”

The mod enables players to become ‘worshippers’ of in-game deities. This gives you access to divine powers and a new Meditation ability, along with a set of tenets. Adhering to these will allow you to gain further abilities as you strengthen your bond with your patron deity. There is a very wide variety of deities available for players to worship too. Of course, the Nine Divines all feature, including Talos (much to the displeasure of the Thalmor, I’m sure). Players can worship any of the Daedric Princes, from well-known daedra like Azura and Sheogorath to the likes of Jyggalag and Mehrunes Dagon.

  1. All you need to do is roam Skyrim, find random dungeons to explore and clear them out. Unenchanted Daedric weapons start appearing at level 46, enchanted Daedric weapons start appearing at level 47, unenchanted Daedric armor starts appearing at level 48 and enchanted Daedric armor starts appearing at level 49.
  2. I'm a vampire lord and it seems a little cheesy to become a thief at this point. I hate how Bethesda forces you to do that to talk to one Daedric prince.

Deities which appear in Elder Scrolls lore are also available to worship, with their own divine powers and tenets. These include the eight Elven Ancestors; Auriel, Jephre, Magnus, Phynaster, Syrabane, Trinimac, Xarxes, and Z’en. The Yokudan pantheon of Leki, Morwha, Satakal, Tall Papa, and The HoonDing also appear. Players could also worship one of the two Khajiiti deities, Rajhin and Riddle’Thar. If none of those strike your fancy, there are several more obscure deities like Sithis, patron of the Dark Brotherhood, St. Alessia, and The Hist. You can even worship ‘The Old Ways’ of the tribal Nords.
