The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs allows you to make some families with furry friends. Of course this just means more creativity from the modding community, as they make more and more amazing Cats & Dogs mods each month. Here are some of the best Sims 4 pets mods, that up the ante of your game.
Control Your Pets
The Sims 4 decided to be a change of pace from TS3, and pulled a TS2. Your pets are not controllable in the vanilla, un-modded version of the expansion. They are playable, however, with the help of this mod.
While it’s limited, the maker hopes that more and more interactions will be modded in eventually.

Pet Mods Sims 4
The amount of colors you’re able to choose from when using the CAS for your pets’ nose, ears, and paws in the game isn’t much. With this mod, you’ll unlock more defaults to choose from.
The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack comes with 17 different traits that you can assign to your Cats and Dogs. However, there are plenty of other, minor traits – quirks which will eventually be assigned to your pet randomly. They mostly describe your pet’s obsessions and fears over certain objects, interactions and the way they approach to different things.
Modder MattBrancher came up with a brilliant mod which will show these pet quirks in the Simology section of your pet (or hide depending on do you want it to be seen). For this mod you’ll also need another mod that lets you control your pets.

Once you’ve downloaded these mods, extract and paste the .ts4script file (from the Playable Pets Mod zip file) and the .package file to Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder. Make sure you’ve enabled both script mods and regular CC / mods in your game options.
